Pathways Scholarship 2024-2025

The Pathways Scholarship is an opportunity for high school students to embark on a journey towards realizing their academic and career aspirations. This scholarship is designed to support and recognize students who exhibit a commitment to personal growth, innovation, and the cultivation of essential life skills. The scholarship is open to any students who are entering Grade 9 and Grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year and who would apply to Quest Forward High School.

There are up to 10 scholarships available, each covering 50% to 100% of the tuition cost at Quest Forward High School, potentially a $9,000 value.

Requirements:

To be considered for the Pathways Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

Short Essay: Applicants are required to submit a concise 1-2 page essay detailing how they intend to utilize their time in high school to prepare for their future college and career endeavors. Specifically, applicants should articulate how they plan to embody the five Pathways habits:

• Practice Curiosity: Demonstrating a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to explore new ideas and concepts.

• Defining Yourself: Understanding one’s strengths, passions, and values, and using this self-awareness to shape personal and academic pursuits.

• Communicating Openly: Engaging in honest and effective communication, fostering collaboration, and building meaningful relationships with teachers and peers.

• Leveraging Resources: Making efficient use of available resources, both within and outside the classroom, to support academic and personal growth.

• Learning from Setbacks: Embracing challenges as opportunities for growth, resilience, and self-improvement.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Clarity, coherence, and originality of ideas presented in the essay.

• Demonstration of the five Pathways habits in the essay.

• Creativity, innovation, and depth of thought exhibited.

• Overall academic achievement and potential for future success.

Award:

Recipients of the Pathways Scholarship will receive financial support to assist with their tuition at Quest Forward High School.

The Pathways Scholarship not only recognizes academic excellence but also celebrates a holistic approach to education that encompasses curiosity, self-discovery, effective communication, resourcefulness, and resilience. It is a testament to the belief that the journey towards success is paved with intentional effort, continuous learning, and a steadfast commitment to personal development.

The deadline for application is July 15, 2024.

Scholarship winners will be announced on July 19, 2024.
