We Take Safety Seriously
At Quest Forward High School, safety is a top priority. Here are some of the safety features available at our school.
Physical Security
- One monitored entrance (Locked 24/7)
- Security cameras
- Panic buttons
- Closed campus (No students are allowed to leave during the school day.)
- Only parents, students, staff, and permitted vendors on campus during the school day
- Nightly security patrols on campus
- Evacuation emergency bags with first aid kits, class rosters, and parent contact info in every room, office, and common area
- Emergency exit plans for all classrooms, offices, and common areas
- Parking lot PA system with motion detectors to alert and deter trespassers (Dispatch is sent after two warnings.)
Emotional Security
- Certified social-emotional counselors on-site during school hours
- Frequent student-bonding activities
- Daily student and staff check-ins with administrators and teachers
- Daily staff check-ins to start the day
- No cell phone policy to decrease cyberbullying
Faculty and Staff Training
- Response and recovery
- Bloodborne pathogen exposure prevention
- Suicide awareness and prevention
- Awareness and prevention of violence in the workplace
- ALICE lockdown and school site safety procedures
- CPR and First Aid Training
- Quarterly practice drills for category earthquakes, fire, lockdown, and evacuations
