October Recap

Student Leaders Inspire at St. Eugene

This past week, our leadership team visited St. Eugene Cathedral School to practice their public speaking skills and demonstrate the value of active, engaged learning at Quest. They performed the “Dancing Ghost” experiment, where students explored positive and negative electrostatic charges in a fun, hands-on way.

Teaching & Learning

Actively & Engaging Lessons:

Calculus

In Calculus with Mr. An, students brought math to life by creating artwork using functions on Desmos! Daphne crafted an impressive piece, using functions like ovals, parabolas, and boundaries to form a detailed shark, while Trystan designed an animated sunset scene. This hands-on project gave students a unique way to explore complex functions while expressing their creativity.

Spanish

As part of their Día de Muertos unit with Ms. Ojeda, students are creating clay figures of their spirit animals, inspired by the movie Coco. These vibrant sculptures will be displayed at our fall festival on the student-built Día de Los Muertos altar. Families are warmly invited to view the altar and add photos of loved ones who have passed, honoring them in this beautiful tradition. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate and connect with our students’ work and heritage!
