We love to celebrate student success! We had a chance to do just that in a recent school assembly, where we honored a student who was accepted into the Growing Home program. (1 of only 40 students in the entire Omaha area!)
The @wedontcoast Growing Home program is a mentorship program that connects students to local opportunities. This helps ensure students remain rooted in our community after college. Community service and building relationships within the community is an important part of the QFHS program, and near and dear to our hearts.
Congratulations to all of the students who were selected. We can`t wait to see how you continue to contribute and grow!

Pathways Day was full of volunteer activities that got our students out into the community. Our students experienced:
- Filling food boxes at @thehopecenterforkids for those in need.
- Interacting with students of all ages and helping set up for an event at @completelykids_ !
- Playing games and delivering Valentine`s Day cards to the residents of @stjosephtower !
Beyond the activities, it was a chance for students to experience teamwork and develop leadership skills.
And they had some fun too!

Students interested in News Media, Journalism, AV/Tech, and TV production got the incredible opportunity to spend time with Omaha`s @wowt6news team.
It was an exciting day, meeting broadcasters, directors, writers, digital artists, and journalists. Students heard about the requirements of each position and got some advice on how to pursue these occupations from the pros!
Students then got the chance to watch a live broadcast, both from the broadcast room and from the production room. To top it off, they even met Omaha`s favorite meteorologist, Rusty Lord!
A HUGE thank you to WOWT First Alert 6 for hosting us!
